BlackBerry Storm targets iPhone

BlackBerry Storm
To challenge Apple’s iPhone in the corporate market, Research in Motion, the maker of blackberry is responding with its first touch screen smart phone, a product that looks to be a formidable competitor. Ben Wood an analyst for CCS Insight said that 2008 has seen a lot of pretenders to the iPhone. Everyone wants to compete with it. Blackberry Storm was developed in partnership with Vodafone. This is the first attempt of Research In Motion to develop a device together with an operator. Vodafone said that thousands of customers have preordered the device in the UK. With its supply issues, the Blackberry Storm seems to have landed with some authority in the marketplace. And analysts will keep their eye to the device whether RIM can sustain this momentum.
